India: Assign Collection Code to Condition Name

In this Customizing activity, you assign collection codes to condition name and Harmonized System of Nomenclature (HSN)/ Services Accounting Code (SAC), which is required for reporting the tax collected at source (TCS).

Note:

  • For the condition name - TCSGSAR, you don't require to maintain HSN/SAC. For this particular condition name, you can maintain the collection code - R.
  • For the condition name - TCSOTAR, you can maintain the HSN/SAC along with the collection code that is created using the Maintain Collection Codes Customizing activity. You can find this Customizing activity in the following location.
    Financial Accounting -> Financial Accounting Global Settings -> Withholding Tax -> Extended Withholding Tax -> Posting -> India -> Maintain Collection Codes

Using this configuration activity, you can assign collection codes to condition name and Harmonized System of Nomenclature (HSN)/ Services Accounting Code (SAC), which is required for reporting the tax collected at source(TCS).

Note:

  • For the condition name - TCSGSAR, you don't require to maintain HSN/SAC. For this particular condition name, you can maintain the collection code - R.
  • For the condition name - TCSOTAR, you can maintain the HSN/SAC along with the collection code that is created using the Maintain Collection Codes configuration activity.
