This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the FI-CA component. You can use this BAdI to change the document class used for Official Document Numbering.

Document class is the key parameter used for determining the number range of the official document number. The document class is derived at runtime based on the assignment specified in the configuration step Assign Document Classes to Document Types and Origin Keys. In other words, the differentiator of the numbering is the combination of these two fields. If these two fields are not sufficient and additional parameters (for example, division) are needed, you can use this BAdI to change document class determination.

The BADI interface method is EXECUTE.

Import parameters

  • CADOCUMENTGLITEMS: General ledger items
  • CACLEARINGREASON: Clearing Reason

  • CADOCUMENTITEMSTOBECLEARED: Table type for FKKCL_GFN
  • CAPOSTINGPROCESS: Posting process
  • CACALLINGPROCOFOFCLDOCNMBRDETN: Calling process type
  • CADOCUMENTTYPEISFORREVERSAL: Document type is for reversal
  • CASUBIDFORDOCUMENTCLASSDETN: Numc3, internal use
  • COUNTRY2DIGITISOCODE: Country (two letter ISO code)
  • CAATTRIBUTESFOROFFICIALDOCNMBR: GFN: attributes for ODN

Changing parameters

  • CADOCCLASSFOROFFICIALDOCNUMBER: Document class for official document numbers

Filter

  • COUNTRYTWOLETTERISOCODE - Two letter ISO code for a country. Use this filter to a execute the BAdI for a specific country.

You have completed the following configuration steps:

  • Define Document Classes
  • Assign Document Classes to Document Types and Origin Keys
  • Assign Number Range Objects to Countries
  • Define Number Groups
  • Define Number Range
  • Assign Number Ranges to Company Codes and Document Classes

  1. Log on to the Fiori Launchpad as an administrator (Extensibility role has been assigned).
  2. Create implementation(s) for this enhancement option using the Custom Fields and Logic app.
