In this IMG activity, you manage transport requests in which the master data that is to be distributed from the Master Data Governance hub to the Business Consolidation systems is stored.

When the master data is imported into the Business Consolidation systems, the system checks whether the Automatic Recording of Changes option is activated for this master data. If it is activated, the system saves the changes in the transport requests you have specified in this IMG activity. If the option to automatically record changes is activated, but the system cannot identify a transport request, the process to distribute the master data is terminated.

You can specify that the system is to automatically create the required transport requests in the Business Consolidation systems, or you can directly specify transport requests that are to be used for distributing the master data.

If you want to directly specify the transport requests for master data distribution, you must previously have generated these in transaction SE09.

  1. To specify a transport request for the inbound services for Business Consolidation, proceed as follows:
    1. Select the application SEM_BW_INBOUND.
    2. Create a new entry for service group SEM_BW_INBOUND_ITEM for items and item hierarchies.
Create a new entry for the service group SEM_BW_INBOUND_REPUNIT for consolidation units, consolidation groups, and consolidation unit hierarchies.
  1. If a new transport request is to be created automatically during the import, proceed as follows:
    1. Choose Automatic.
    2. As the administrator, enter the user for whom the request is to be created.
This user is responsible for ensuring that the request is released and transported to the other systems in the transport landscape.
  1. Enter a name for the request.
  • If you want to enter a transport request directly, enter it under Requests of a Service Group.
    • The system always uses the first request in this list that has not yet been released.
