SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity you can make settings for total commitment groupings so that you can display contracts/accounts of the same type but from various applications in one display block in the results list for total commitment.

In addition you can use a sort sequence for total commitment groupings to influence the positioning of contract information in the results list for total commitment.

You have made settings for total commitment in the IMG activity Make Settings for Total Commitment and have activated the function to display contract information according to total commitment groupings in the step Make Settings for TC Grouping Status in this IMG activity.

In the standard version, the selection variants that have been defined in Customizing for total commitment sort the contract information supplied according to applications.

In the standard version, entries are provided for the applications Account Management (AM), Loans Management (CML), Collateral Management (CMS), Bank Customer Accounts (BCA), SAP Leasing (CRM-LAM), and Deposits and Loans for BPP Banking (TRBK).

  1. To bundle the contract information supplied by the applications according to contracts/accounts of the same type in the results list for total commitment, define total commitment groupings in the step Define TC Groupings / Define Sort Sequence and define their sort sequence in the results list.

Use the following steps to assign bundles of product categories and product types that are relevant for displaying contracts to the total commitment groupings defined:

  1. In the step Define Application, enter the applications that you defined in the IMG activity Make Settings for Total Commitment and that are relevant for bundling.
  2. In the step Assign Product Category, assign product categories that are relevant for bundling contracts to the applications that you have defined.
  3. In the step Assign TC Grouping to Product Type, define product types for your combination of application/product category and assign TC groupings to them.

When you create product categories and types, consider how this interacts with the setting that you have selected in the step Make Settings for TC Grouping Statusof IMG activity Make Settings for Total Commitment:

  • If you have selected the total commitment grouping status Active (automatic data creation), then the system helps you to save entries for the product category and product type automatically. If the system provides a combination to total commitment that is not yet available in Customizing, then it automatically creates this in this IMG activity. When the user executes total commitment, the system displays the information that another total commitment grouping has to be assigned to this combination. Until you have made this assignment, total commitment uses the application information to group the corresponding contract information.
  • If you have selected the total commitment grouping status Active (only manual settings are possible), then you have to enter all combinations of product categories and types that are relevant for the connected applications manually. When the user executes total commitment, the system informs the user about any combinations that are missing and settings that can be made. Until you have created the corresponding combination of product category and type and made the relevant assignment, total commitment uses the application information to group the corresponding contract information.

Note the following information with regard to your system landscape and creating new product categories/types: If you cannot make any changes to Customizing in your production system, then make the changes in your consolidation/test system, include these in a transport request, and transport them into the production system.
