In this Customizing activity, you define and generate a selection report for order allocation run (ARun) Workbench.

The selection report selects data from database tables and passes it to ARun Workbench for further processing

You can generate a selection report for the following applications:

  • Assignments
  • Requirements

In ARun Workbench, if the fields on the selection screen are from the allocation table, then ARun Workbench behaves in normal/display and preview modes as follows:

  • Preview Mode: In this mode, the data is copied from the FSH_PREVIEW table.
  • Normal/Display Mode: In this mode, the data is copied from the FSH_BDBS table.

In both these cases, when you choose fields, the FSH_BDBS table should be selected from the Customizing. The same fields are available in both FSH_BDBS and FSH_PREVIEW tables.

  1. Choose New Entries to define a selection report for an application (Assignments or Requirements).
  2. Enter the following data:
  • Set: This number is an identifier for the set of fields you will select.

  • Application: This field defines the ARun Workbench area for which the report will be used.

  • Description: A brief description of the selection report

  1. Choose Tables/Field.
  2. Enter the following fields based on which the selection report needs to be generated.
    1. Table Name: This is the name of the database table to be accessed. A selection field is only unique when defined together with the table name. You can choose the list of available tables using the F4 option.
    2. Field Name: Enter the technical field name. You can choose the list of available fields using the F4 option. If you have already entered the table name, press Enter to view the valid field names.
    3. Seq.: Assign a number to each field, reflecting the order in which it is to appear on the selection screen. If you do not enter a valid value, this field will not be considered during the report generation.
    4. Search Help Name: Leave the field blank if you want the system to find an appropriate one during the screen generation. Otherwise enter a specific help view.
Note
If you enter the above fields and do not generate a report, only the default fields appear on the selection screen of ARun Workbench.
  1. Optionally, you can simulate and see how the generated report would look like.
  2. Save your data
  3. Choose Generate Report and enter the report name. After the report is successfully generated, you can assign it to an ARun Workbench type.
