In this Customizing activity, you define a rule to include the already allocated order quantities in the subsequent order allocation run (ARun). Using this rule, the system includes the existing allocations from previous ARun(s) in the current ARun. This way, you can redetermine which quantities are acceptable in the subsequent allocation run.

The reallocation rule considers the quantities of the allocated orders which are in R (Reserve), F (Fix), H (Fix and Hold), and D (on Delivery) ARun status.

If you want to include the requirements which are already allocated, you can do that by defining a corresponding reallocation rule and assigning it to the allocation type.

  1. Define a reallocation rule by assigning an alphanumeric key with a maximum of four characters and a description.
  2. Select the ARun status of the allocated orders that should be included in the subsequent order allocation run.
  3. After you have created a reallocation rule, you must enter the reallocation rule in the corresponding order allocation type in Customizing under Logistics-General > SAP Fashion Management > Order Allocation Run (ARun) > Maintain ARun Types.
  • You have a sales order for one material:
100 T-shirts and size XL
Currently, there are 60 T shirts available in the stock.
The release rule requires that at least 80% of the stock must be available for the goods to be shipped. Since only 60% of the material for the sales order is available, the allocation run assigns the status of order allocation run as R (Reserved).
After an order allocation run, you receive 20 XL shirts into the inventory. In the subsequent ARun, if the reallocation rule is maintained for the ARun type, the system now finds the old 60 XL shirts plus the new 20 L shirts, at total of 80 shirts of the 100 ordered. Now, To fill the order, now 80% of the stock is available. It passes the release check and the 80 shirts will be shipped.
  • You have the following sales order:
100 T shirts
The release rule defined in Customizing is 90% and the future receipts stock on the current date is 100 T shirts.
After the order allocation run, the sales order is allocated 100 T shirts. Since only future stock is available, the allocation status is R (Reserved).
After the goods receipt, in the subsequent order allocation run, the allocation status is redetermined using the reallocation rule.
