FSH_STKO_VW - Maintenance of BOM Header Fields

In this Customizing activity, you maintain the BOM header fields you want to overwrite in the Variant BOMs when a Generic BOM is changed. (This refers to BOMs that were changed individually without referring to a Generic BOM).

You must make these Customizing settings:

• Set the BOM Maintenance indicator Control Data for BOM to 2 in the Plant master.

For example, if you want to stop production of a particular variant BOM for next season, and you want to set the BOM status to Inactive for aparticular variant BOM, here’s what you do:

1. In CS02, set the BOM status to Inactive for the Variant BOM.
2. The BOM status changes in the Generic BOM when you select the Overwrite checkbox in the BOM status field in this Customizing activity. The status is then overwritten in the BOM you previously changed to Inactive.
3. If you haven’t selected the Overwrite checkbox in the BOM status field, the Generic BOM status that was changed is not overwritten in the Variant BOMs that were modified individually (without the reference of the Generic BOM).
