FSH_SUBCON_CA - Assign Rules for Subcontracting Purchase Orders

In this Customizing activity, you can assign additional rules for subcontracting purchase orders.

Currently, you can activate and assign rules for immediate assignment for a subcontracting purchase order based on the purchasing document type and the supplying plant.

To enable and assign rules for immediate assignment, you need to perform the following steps:

1. Choose New Entries.
2. Enter Document Type and Plant.
3. Under Immediate Assignment Parameters, select the Activate Immediate Assignmentcheckbox.
4. Enter Sorting Rule.
5. Under Assignment Quantity Fulfillment Criteria, enter Minimum Assignment % For Header, Minimum Assignment % For Item, and Minimum Assignment % For Component.

You use these fields to define the minimum fulfillment percentage for the assigned quantities at the header, item, and component level required for a successful assignment process.

Save the entry.

The system updates an application log. The log captures the messages that occur during the immediate assignment process.

You can analyze the application log using the Analyze Application Logtool (transaction SLG1). You can display messages in the application log under object ARUNand sub-object SUBCONPOwith the corresponding time restriction.

• Immediate Assignment

Let’s consider the following subcontracting purchase order:

Let's assume that you have defined the following assignment quantity fulfillment criteria:

• Minimum Assignment % For Header: 50

• Minimum Assignment % For Item: 60

• Minimum Assignment % For Component: 80

1. The system performs a check at component level.

Since the components 0001 and 0002 of item 10, and component 0001 of item 20 fulfill the minimum assignment quantity percentage (80%) at component level, the system carries forward the assigned quantity of these components to the check at item level.

2. The system performs a check on item level. The system only considers the assigned quantities of components that have passed the component level validations.

Since item 10 has fulfilled the minimum assignment quantity percentage (60%) at item level, the system carries forward the assigned quantity of this item to the check at header level.

3. The system performs a check on header level. The system only considers the assigned quantities of components of items that have passed the item level validations.

Since the minimum assignment quantity percentage (50%) is fulfilled at header level, the system saves the assignments of components 0001 and 0002 of item 00010.
