You use this Customizing activity to align report types with printing modes and to assign an appropriate analytic query and printing mode to newly-developed report types.

SAP delivers a set of the most frequently used reporting types with predefined analytic queries and printing modes.

In this Customizing activity, you can edit some of the settings for the reporting types delivered by SAP and assign the parameters to a new report type.

To access the activity, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose transaction SM34.
  2. Enter view cluster VC_FUCNR001.
    Select Enter conditions if you want to restrict the number of reporting types that are displayed.
  3. Choose Display.
    You can also choose Maintainif you are sure that you will make changes but you always have the option to toggle between Displayand Change.

The "Reporting Type": Overview screen displays the alignment between the available reporting types, reporting user interface classes and analytic queries. Select a row in the table to perform the following actions:

  • Double-click on the Reporting Type Description.
    On the "Reporting Type Description": Details screen, you can select a different language using the input help or edit the text of the description associated with the reporting type.
  • Double-click on the Print Type.
    On the "Print Type Description": Details screen, you can choose the printing mode for direct report printing depending upon your requirements and server settings. This gives you the option of choosing print options according to what is installed on your server or only allowing accountants to examine reports on the screen.
    The available options are:
  • No print support

  • Crystal Report and Adobe Form

  • Only Adobe Form

  • Only Crystal Report

  • Double-click on Background Print.
    On the "Background Print": Overview screen, you can choose whether or not background printing is allowed for the selected report type. In background printing, only Adobe form printing is possible.

To add a new reporting type, choose New Entriesand enter parameters as described above.
