GENFM_BS_OVERVIEW - Overview

You use these Customizing activities to define and map the system settings that are required to support country/region-specific budget reporting.

The generic reporting framework provided for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, enables you to generate budget expenditure and revenue statements by making use of entities such as budget chapters, subchapters, and account groups.

The reporting framework also allows you to print department-specific form headers and signatures and select the output language option in English or Arabic.

Group Form Configuration

Using the concept of group forms and logical forms, the reporting framework enables users to determine the desired output from the GENFM_10 report and assign PDF-based forms to the GENFM_10 and GENFM_20 reports. Use the following customizing activities:

• GENFMV_LOGFORM to define logical forms

• GENFMV_GRPFORM to define group forms

In the Configure Group Forms customizing activity, you define the output columns, data source, sorting and grouping options. You then assign the PDF output to a combination of the group form and logical form customized in the GENFMV_ASGNFORM view.

You can also define your own group forms and build customer-specific output. The GENFM_BADI_REPA Business Add-In (BAdI) allows you to enhance the output data of the report.

Programs and Projects

In the MENA region, the concept of programs and projects is used in legal reporting. These entities are mapped to account assignment entities in Funds Management. For example, programs are typically mapped to functional area whereas projects are mapped to either funded programs or a set of commitment items. You map the programs or projects to account assignment entities using the GENFMV_ACCASGN customizing activity.

This way, you enable the GENFM_20 report to generate forms containing expenditures and revenues by programs or projects for a fiscal year.
