You use the interaction layer to define the technical connection between the user interface and the screen sequence control for business transactions in Service.

To set up the interaction layer, perform the following Customizing activities under UI Framework -> Generic Interaction Layer/Object Layer:

1. Basic Settings

You use this Customizing activity to define the components and component sets that are used by the generic interaction layer for various SAP applications.

1. Define Views

You use this Customizing activity to assign read views to the component sets in the generic interaction layer.

You can then make the component-specific settings for the interaction layer.
