In this Customizing activity, you specify the output conditions and formatting methods for the data in the dangerous goods documents.

The output conditions and formatting methods apply to the output of texts in connection with fields in the dangerous goods master as well as other fields that are required for print output.

Output conditions and formatting methods are created as function modules.

  1. Use the input help to select fields names for the field from the dangerous goods master.
These are fields from the RDGPRINT structure, which contains all fields for the dangerous goods master. This structure also contains fields required for the output (such as phrase descriptions).
  1. Specify the relevant function module.
  2. If the output condition is also to be taken into account when determining data via EDI processing, select the EDI checkbox.

Note that the number of function modules specified influences performance when dangerous goods documents are printed.

The following function modules are delivered in the standard system as sample output conditions:

  • DG50_PRICOND_BULK
  • DG50_PRICOND_HIGHVISCO
  • DG50_PRICOND_HIGHVISCOTXT
  • DG50_GETSYMB_MAIN_RISK
  • DG50_GETSYMB_SUBSIDIARY RISKS
  • DG50_GETSYMB_PLACARDS

The following function modules are delivered in the standard system as sample formatting methods:

  • DG50_GETSYMB_AGGRSTATE
  • DG50_GETSYMB_CONT_WASTE
  • DG50_GETSYMB_DESCRIPTION
  • DG50_GETSYMB_DGCLDCBL
  • DG50_GETSYMB_HAZINDSUB
  • DG50_GETSYMB_HAZINDSUBMP
  • DG50_GETSYMB_HAZINDSUBRQ
  • DG50_GETSYMB_HAZNOTES
  • DG50_GETSYMB_HYGROSCOP
  • DG50_GETSYMB_SECDGCLASS

For more information about the function modules, see the function module documentation in the Function Builder.

Different dangerous goods information is printed in different sequences on the dangerous goods documents depending on the dangerous goods regulation. You can use text patterns to control the output of dangerous goods information based on the requirements of the relevant dangerous goods regulation or the relevant dangerous goods documents (such as a delivery note).

You can create and edit text pattern phrases with the SAPscript editor by choosing Edit Phrases. The text pattern phrases created use the RDGPRINT structure, which is filled from the dangerous goods master for printing data on the dangerous goods documents.

The text pattern phrases are assigned to a dangerous goods classification or a real substance in the value assignment types Output of Dangerous Goods Information (SAP_EHS_1022_034) or Text Pattern Profiles (SAP_EHS_1022_038). The dangerous goods master is filled based on these value assignment types. When the dangerous goods data is printed on the dangerous goods documents, the text pattern from the applicable dangerous goods master is then used for the data formatting.

Depending on the number of function modules specified, the process of printing the dangerous goods documents can have an impact on system performance.
