GHO_GEF_PREREQ_ACTVT - Info: GEF Configuration Settings

Before you start using the SAP Geographical Enablement Framework (GEF) capabilities for Upstream Operations Management (UOM), you must ensure that the following GEF configurations are properly maintained.
- An application extension built on top of the framework must have a specific extension ID, which is then assigned to all its geo-enabled business objects. In the SAP delivered Customizing, the Extension ID UOM is used for GEF and assigned to the Upstream Operations Management business object.
- The business objects and their corresponding geo objects and actions are defined and assigned to the application extension in Customizing under Cross-Application components -> SAP Geographical Enablement Framework -> Configure the Framework.
- The settings for base maps, icons, reference layer groups, business layer groups, and so on, used to display geo objects on the map user interface (UI) are defined in Customizing under Cross-Application components -> SAP Geographical Enablement Framework -> Configure the Map User Interface, and delivered with the Upstream Operations Management business object.
On activation of business switch GHO_SFWS_UOM_EA_GIS, the delivered BC sets provide the pre-configured settings for Upstream Operations Management so you can view the network objects in GEF.
