GHO_PP_PT_V_CLEN - Set deletion parameters for obsolete planning data

In this Customizing activity, you can set the timeframe for deleting obsolete planning data.

Since the performance of the planning table depends on the size of its database tables, obsolete planning data should be deleted periodically. To do this, you can use a cleanup report (transaction GHOPPC). This report provides a test mode for summarizing planning data with planning dates falling outside the predefined default horizon. When you deactivate the test mode, the data will be deleted.

You can adjust the default timeframe for critical horizons according to your business needs. In detail, you can define a new default horizon and a new minimum horizon. When you call the cleanup report GHO_PP_PTABLE_CLEANUP_REPORT, the default horizon is automatically preset. You can modify the cleanup end date, but you cannot enter a date that lies within the minimum horizon. If you enter a deletion date that lies within the minimum horizon, the system automatically replaces your entry with a valid date corresponding to the minimum cleanup horizon. In this way, the minimum horizon serves to protect data against accidental deletion.
