You use a deferment code in a deferment event to specify the reason due to which the actual production was different from the system capability or estimations.

Deferment codes are stored in a hierarchical manner. Every deferment code can have multiple child codes. The first def code cannot have a parent because it is the root node. You can use a deferment code as a parent deferment code only once you have created it as a deferment code.

Selecting the Remediation Flag indicates that the deferment due to that particular code is positive. If the flag is deselected, the deferment due to the code is negative.

  • Parent deferment code must be an existing and valid deferment code.
  • You must delete all the child deferment codes before deleting a code.
