In this IMG activity you define derivation strategies for the auto correction processor. The auto correction processor is used to check a large volume of imported documents as a background job, and correct them if necessary. You create strategies to define what the system is to check. For example, you can define strategies to check the validity of the data, or the assignments of accounts.

You choose the Goto field to access the settings for the derivation steps.

You can create the following derivation steps:

  • Check: Unlike the other step categories, the Check step does not check its own step logic. The system checks only whether the condition on the Condition tab page has been met. It then displays the message specified on the Validation tab page.
  • Derivation rule: Derivation rules are used to derive a correct value from a list of rule values. The value of the source field is compared with the left-hand side of the list. If a correct rule value is found, the values on the right-hand side of the list are assigned to the target fields. The message stored on the Validation tab page is displayed.
  • Table lookup: Table lookups work in the same way as derivation rules. In a table lookup, the database table specified provides a list of rule values.
  • Assignment: If the condition (on the Condition tab page) is met, the value of the source field, a constant, or a value calculated dynamically by a function module is assigned to the target field. The message stored on the Validation tab page is displayed.
  • Initialization: Initialization works similarly to the assignment. An empty field (initial value) is assigned to the target field.
  • Function module: This step category applies the custom logic stored in the function module. You create a function module as follows:
  1. Copy the sample function module GLE_ECS_ACP_STP_SAMPLE to a custom function module.
  2. Enter the name of your custom function module in the Function Module Name field when you create the step.

After you have created a derivation rule, you can access the rule entries by choosing Maintain Entries.

For each auto correction strategy you specify the strategy category and the priority.

You can assign auto correction strategies to one or multiple ECS environments in IMG activity Define ECS Environments. Since each run in ECS fast input uses an ECS environment, the runs apply each of the steps in the auto correction strategies that you assign.

You have created your own message class and messages in your namespace.
