In this Customizing activity, you define the owner group and assign a standard rule. The processing (of users, workplace, organizational units, positions, and so on) is linked to the standard rule. The system uses the standard rule to find the processors responsible. With the ECS automation BRF rule, the ECS item is assigned to the owner group for processing.

SAP does not supply any standard rules.

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Enter the owner group name.
  3. Assign a standard rule. You have the following two options:
  • The standard rule you are assigning is already created and you know the number.

Enter this number.
  • The standard rule you are assigning is not yet created.

Select the corresponding line.
Choose Create Rule...
  1. To assign users/processors to the standard rule, you have the following two options:
  • In this Customizing activity:

Select the corresponding line.
Choose Display Rule.
The system displays the change of responsibility on the rule screen.

  • From the SAP Easy Access screen:

Choose Tools → ABAP Workbench → Development → SAP Business Workflow → DefinitionTools → Rules for Agent Assignment → Change.
The system displays the Maintain Rulescreen.
For more information on changing standard roles, see the documentation on the SAP Business Workflow in the SAP Library. Choose SAP ERP → SAP ERP Cross-Application Functions → Scenarios in the Applications → SAP Business Workflow, or on the corresponding screens, choose Help → Application Help.
  1. Set the admin indicator for the admin groups. On reject on owner by the user, the ECS items are assigned to the admin groups who would take care of the further processing or reassignment.
  2. Save your entries.
