GROUPWARE18 - Maintain Master Category List for Groupware Integration

In this Customizing activity, you list the categories available in SAP CRM, which are transferred to the groupware server and stored there in the master category list. The application category is displayed in groupware objects in the Categoryfield with its description, and denotes the following:

• The SAP CRM application to which the object belongs

• The category of the object in SAP CRM

The category determines the actions and rules to be performed for the corresponding object.

An entry, such as CRM_ACT 001, for example, indicates that the object belongs to activity management and the number 001 indicates that the category is a sales call. This means that although sales calls and meetings are both CRM activities, they are treated separately by the application, both in SAP CRM and the groupware server.

Note: If you make any changes to the settings in this activity, you need to download the Customizing object GWA_GWOMSTRCAT using transaction R3AS.

Run the following reports to import the relevant categories into this Customizing activity for groupware integration:

• GWA_FILL_ACTCAT_TO_MASTERCAT for activity-related categories

• GWA_FILL_BPROLE_TO_MASTERCAT for business partner-related categories (such as business partner role)

You can add further categories after importing the standard categories.
