GRPC_INBOUNDWEB - Activate Inbound Web Services

In this Customizing activity, you activate (release) the inbound web services. This is done In order for other systems to connect to the Process Control system as the target system.

The following web service definitions are provided:

  • GRPC_CISCO_EVENT
  • GRPC_EVENT_MONITOR
  • GRPC_UPLOAD_CONTROL_RESULTS

Confirm the above web services are available by doing the following:

  1. Open the Release Inbound Web Services activity.
  2. Expand the SOAP Application for RFC-Compliant FMs.

If the GRPC web services are not available, do the following:

  1. Enter transaction WSCONFIG. The Release Web Services for SOAP Runtime screen displays.
  2. In the Service Definition field, select the GRPC web services above, one at a time.
  3. In the variant field, select the variant.
  4. Click Create and then Save.
  5. Repeat the steps to release each of the web services.
