SAP E-Book

In the Edit Frequency Timeframes activity, you specify the concrete timeframes within a year for the frequencies (such as annually, monthly) that you defined under Edit Attribute Values for the attribute Scheduling Frequency (SC-FREQ).

Note:

If a timeframe extends over two calendar years, you also have to make an entry for the year that is to be valid for the to and from values. For more information, see the field help for Timeframe Year.

SAP delivers example data in a BC Set for a standard calendar year. To apply this data, you must activate the BC Set. If you have a non-standard fiscal year, such as 4-4-5 or Jun-July, do not activate the BC set, but instead create your frequencies manually. You should activate only the BC Set for table/view V_GRPCATTRV_TF and create the frequencies manually if the BC set values are not applicable for the company.

To create timeframes that are not standard in the delivered BC Sets:

1.,,Select the line where the frequency is located. For example, select the Annually line if you have a non-standard year and/or have not applied the BC set for timeframes in Edit Frequency Timeframes.

2.,,Double-click the Frequency Timeframe folder to open the screen for entry.

3.,,Select New Entries.

4.,,Enter a timeframe (both code and text). You may wish to investigate a logical code from timeframe (e.g., M01 through M12 for monthly timeframes).

5.,,Provide the appropriate definitions of each timeframe, using the minimum number required. For example, when defining regular months, there is no need to populate day or week, but instead month only if a calendar year and month, year from and year to if using a non-calendar year.

6.,,After all timeframes are defined for the frequency you selected, click Save.

Frequency: Quarterly for a company with a fiscal year ending June 30.

Delivered Timeframes:

Quarter 1: Months July to September and Year -1 to Year -1

Quarter 2: October to December and Year -1 to Year -1

Quarter 3: January to March and Year 0 to Year 0

Quarter 4: April to June and Year 0 to Year 0

Defined this way, choosing Quarter 1 and Year 2009 would consider Quarter 1 as July to September 2008. Choosing Quarter 4 for 2009 would select April to June 2009.
