In this Customizing activity, you define the risk types which can be used in the system. Two risk types can be used - operational risk and corporate risk.

The difference between the types is mainly in the way how the analysis is performed. The operational risks are analyzed through bow tie analysis. The corporate risks are analyzed through forecasting horizons.

The settings affect the lists of choices in menus for creating a risk . Activating a risk type enables the display of the new choice for the risk type.

As soon as the risk type is used, for example, a risk is created based on the risk type, it cannot be deactivated.

1. Select the risk type in the table.
2. Select the Activate checkbox.
3. If the risk should be used as default, select the Default radio button.
4. Save your setting.
