In this Customizing activity, the system administrator can control the synchronization settings that can be made by business users in the WebClient UI. The system administrator can do the following:

  • Create a client profile based on business role, country, and language, and then assign properties to the client profile.
  • Change the default property values.
  • Allow or prevent modifications to the property values through the WebClient UI synchronization settings (by selecting/deselecting the Modifiable in Client checkbox).
In the WebClient UI, business users make synchronization settings by clicking Personalize and then Edit Synchronization Settings(in the section Groupware Integration).

Note:

  • The profile name must be unique; you cannot have more than one profile with the same name.
  • You cannot have more than one profile with the same combination of business role, language, and country.
  • If you do not create a customer-specific profile, an profile predefined by SAP is used by default.
  • To access supported property values, choose Optimize Width in the context menu for the Property Valuecolumn. A drop-down list of possible entries is provided for most fields.
