You can use this Business Add-In to define default values for the pension start date when creating pension information or changing the pension reason. You can also use your own criteria to check the pension start date entered by the public sector employee in the ESS pension information.

If the BAdI is implemented, a class that provides two methods via the interface IF_HCMFABDE_MPI_B_BEGDA_PENS is created:

  • GET_DEFAULT: Define default value
  • CHECK: Check the entered value

If you don’t implement the BAdI, the system does not set a value for the pension start date when you create pension information. The system checks only that the pension start date is after the start date of the status as a public officer.

Implement the BAdI.
