In this Customizing activity, you can specify which time specification types should be available in the Pension Information ESS and if the relevant time specification type requires a capacity utilization level and/or reason (for example, child-rearing period). You also specify which time specification type should be predefined when creating a new time specification.

The public sector employee who uses the ESS pension information should only be offered a manageable number of time specification types whose names they understand.

In node “ESS Define Time Specification Type Reasons”, define all reasons that lead to time specification types and reference a pension administration (VADM) time specification reason. The same VADM time specification reason can be referenced more than once to make it more easily understood with different texts for different time specification types.

In node “ESS Define Time Specification Types”, specify all time specification types that should be offered in the ESS. For each time specification type, define a validity period, the time specification type of the VADM that should be referenced, and specify whether the capacity utilization level should be entered. Several time specification types may reference the same VADM time specification type. You also specify which time specification type should be predefined when creating a new time specification.

In subnode “ESS Assign Time Specification Type Reasons”, you can specify if time specification reasons defined above should be made available for the current time specification type and if so, which ones. You can also specify which reason should be set as default.
