SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you specify the types of injury/illness log entries.

You assign each entry type the correct control indicator for transferring the relevant injury/illness log entry data to the Industrial Hygiene and Safety incident/accident log. This means that you use the control indicator for the type of injury/illness log entry to specify what data is to be transferred to the incident/accident log.

You can assign the following control indicators:

  • If you do not want the system to transfer any of the injury/illness log entries for a particular type to the incident/accident log, assign the indicator 0 (locked for transfer).
  • If you only want the system to automatically transfer injury/illness log entries of a particular type to the incident/accident log in certain isolated cases (exceptions), assign the indicator 1 (transfer possible in individual cases).
  • If you want the system to transfer injury/illness log entries of a particular type automatically to the incident/accident log, assign the indicator 2 (transfer proposed by system).

When an injury/illness log entry is proposed for transfer, it appears in a worklist in the incident/accident log. The decision as to whether the entry should actually be transferred is made here.

The system can check and edit entry keys according to the type of the injury/illness log entry. SAP has provided a user exit to help you do this. For more information, see the "User Exits for Occupational Health" section under Manage User Exits in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools.

  1. Check the standard system.
  2. If necessary, change the sample entries, or create new types of injury/illness log entries.
  3. Assign a unique key to each type.
  4. Assign the required control indicator to each entry type.
  5. Assign user exit names to the entry types if necessary.
  6. Assign an internal and external number range interval for the number range object CBIHN_FAID to each entry type.

The type of the injury/illness log entry is subject to an authorization check (see also Specify Authorizations).
