It is possible to store a comment text for the data record in all infotypes. In some infotypes, such as the Monitoring of Tasks infotype (0019) or the Powers of Attorney infotype (0030), the first three lines of this text can be created and displayed directly on the single screen. If you choose Maintain Text, the text editor is opened. The text lines from the single screen are transferred into the text editor and you can then create more comment lines. To prevent text being created simultaneously in both areas, the text lines must be deactivated on the single screen.

If you use the form routines GET_TEXT (SAPFP50M) and PUT_TEXT (SAPFP50M) in the module pool of your own infotypes to read or fill text fields, then you must enter the module pool with the associated dynpro fields in this IMG activity in order to deactivate the text lines in these infotypes.

In the standard system, all text fields are entered for the standard infotypes. If you choose Edit -> Maintain Text in the master data maintenance, the specified text lines are not ready for input.

If you use your own infotypes with text fields, enter the module pool with the associated dynpro fields.

Examples of other infotypes for which the text fields are displayed directly on the single screen:

• Company Instructions infotype (0035)

• Objects on Loan infotype (0040)
