In this IMG activity you activate the workflow template with which the initiator of a process is informed when a process processor withdraws this process. At the same time, an HR Administrator is informed about subsequent activities (for example, checking the process object, correcting changes to data in the database that were made during the process) by the same workflow template. The recipient receives a corresponding notification in their Business Workplace inbox.

You have set up the workflow runtime environment and checked the automatic workflow Customizing for completeness.

You can use the following workflow templates:

  • WS17900396:Follow-up activities - process withdrawn (ASRWithdraw)
  • WS61000037:Follow-up activities - process withdrawn (enhanced) (ASR_WD_WF)
If you use this workflow template, in addition to those involved in the process mentioned above, you can also inform other process processors by e-mail when a process is withdrawn. Also perform the Processors to Inform After Withdrawing a Process IMG activity.

In the standard system, the HR Administrator is determined using the rule 17900016, HR Administrator of Person (ASRPersAdmin).

Activate the event linkage for the workflow template. Perform the following steps:

  1. Execute the IMG activity.
The system displays the Task Customizing Overview view.
  1. Choose the Activate Event Linkage function.
The system displays the Event Linkage: Triggering Events view.
  1. Expand the node for the workflow template.
The system displays the triggering event for the workflow template. In the Activate/Deactivate column, the current status of the event linkage is displayed for the event.
  1. Set the status of the event linkage by clicking the Activated button.
  2. Deactivate the event linkage for the other workflow template. Proceed in the same way, but set the status to Deactivated.
