This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in Employee Self-Service(ESS) based on the Web Dynpro ABAP (PA-ESS-XX-WDA) component. You can change the attributes of existing calendar legends but you cannot add new attributes or new calendar legends. You can use this BAdI to change the following display attributes of the calendar legend:

  • Text - You can change the texts for the different working-time categories.
  • Tooltip - You can change the existing tooltip.
  • Visibility - You can show or hide working-time categories.
  • Order - You can change the order in which the working-time categories appear in the calendar legend.
  • Color - You can change the background colors of the different working-time categories. For example, time records with the status Complete are shown in green, but you can change this to any other color.

Changes to the color or visibility attributes are reflected in the calendar. For example, if you set the visibility of holidays to false, they appear in the calendar as normal days.

Changes to the calendar legend do not affect the timesheet.

This BAdI uses the Method to update/change calendar legend (UPDATE_CAL_LEGEND)method.
