This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Employee Self-Service (PA-ESS) component. You can use this BAdI to modify parameters for employee profile card in the Employee Profile application. It also decides the card that is applicable for manager or employee or other employee.

This BAdI implements the IF_HRMSS_EMP_PROFILEinterface. It uses the following methods:

  • MODIFY_CARD_PARAMETERS-You use this method to change the parameters of the Employee Profile card. The administrator can decide on the following:
  • Card that must be displayed only for manager or employee or other employee

  • Tab in which the card must be displayed

  • SET_NOTES_VISIBILITY - You use this method to control the visibility of the Notes Tab in the Employee Profile Applicationfor the manager scenario. The administrator can decide on the following:
  • Visibility can be controlled by any specified criteria for example, by country grouping

  • SET_TALENT_VISIBILITY - You use this method to control the visibility of the Talent Tab in the Employee Profile Applicationfor the employee and the manager scenarios. The administrator can decide on the following:
  • Visibility can be controlled by any specified criteria

In the standard BAdI definition all cards specified under Customizing, Notes tab in the Manager scenario, and Talent tab are by default visible in the Employee Profile application.
