In this Customizing activity, you define the periodic batch run for the Work Feeds Generator (RPC_ESS_WORK_FEED_GENERATOR) report. This report generates work feeds for a particular subscription key. It reads all subscribed users from the SAP NetWeaver Gateway and then generates feeds for the users. This report uses the BAdI: Defining the Text for Work Feeds(HRESS_B_WORK_FEED) BAdI to generate the feeds.

A new Customizing activity Generate Work Feeds is created. It has the following activities:

  • Create Variants for Report
In this activity, which is used to define the periodic batch job, you can create variants for the report . You must select the appropriate selection parameters so that the system can run the report for selected subscription key and then generate the work feeds.
  • Schedule the Report
In this activity, you can schedule the report to run on a periodic basis as a batch job.
