SAP E-Book

You use this Business Add-In (BAdI) in the data collection function in Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation.

This BAdI enables you to make customer-specific adjustments when collecting quantity and cost data for employees.

This BAdI enables you to valuate customer-specific data sources, in other words to collect additional data and data that is not covered by the standard procedure. You can also design special valuations of standard data sources.

The BAdI is filter-dependent. It is defined in accordance with the filter type HCP_INTERFACE_FOR_BADI_E (Data Collection Method (Employee Data)). That means that you can differentiate between your implementations based on this filter type. You can use implementations with this filter type when collecting quantity and cost data for employees.

If you want to use your own methods, you must create them in Customizing for Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation. To do that, you perform the IMG activity Create Additional Data Collection Methods.

Your methods first appear as possible filter values for the BAdI implementation, and after you have implemented and activated the BAdI they appear as selection options in a dialog box in the data collection report.

If you want to use your own parameters, you must create them, too, in Customizing for Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation.

To do that, you perform the IMG activity Specify Additional Data Collection Parameters.

The standard system already contains implementations. In the BAdI builder you can display the implementations for a BAdI by choosing Implementation -> Overview.

You want to collect data on anniversary bonuses that each employee has received.
