You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to adjust the standard process of filling an internal table with Electronic Sickness Certificate (ELN) data. The ELN data is expected as an XML file in string format. The internal table is of line type HRPADRU_S_SICK_CERTIFICATE.

The BAdI is filter dependent and uses filter field VERSION to differentiate between versions of the ELN XML file specifications.

The standard implementation consists of:

  1. Implementation classes
  2. Fallback class

Each implementation class is assigned to a different version of the XML specification according to filter field VERSION (for example, 1.1, 2.0, and so on).

The fallback class is used to run an implementation class when there is no XML version explicitly specified. The fallback class determines the specification version of the XML file by analyzing its structure. It then calls an implementation class according to this version.

By default, the XML specification version is 1.1.

Note: The fallback class is limited to calling the implementations for which filter values were delivered in standard delivery. It does not call an implementation with a filter value specified by customer.
