In this Customizing activity, you define which fields are displayed in the My Overtime Requests app. This way you can ensure that only fields relevant for the current request are displayed to the employees. This activity offers the following options:

  • You group the relevant fields using a field selection. To view and create field selections, use the activity Define Field Selection.
  • Afterwards, you assign a field selection to one or more Attendance Quota Types using the activity Assign Field Selection to Attendance Quota Types.

  1. Choose the Define Field Selection activity.
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Create a field selection and choose ENTER.
  4. Select the field selection and double-click Field Customizing in the dialog structure.
  5. Choose Select Fields.
  6. Select the fields you want to display. Field help is available for the fields in the list. You can toggle in the list between the technical field name and the field label.
Note: If you do not use the field End Date(P2007-ENDDA) in a field selection, the system uses the start date of the request items as the default end date. If you do not use the field Number of Employee Time Quota(P2007-ANZHL) in a field selection, the system uses the duration between the start time and the end time as the default quota number for the request item.
  1. Choose Continue.
  2. Decide whether each field is a required entry field.
  3. If required, enter a different field label of up to 25 characters. If you do not enter your own field label, the system uses the medium-length label from the Data Dictionary with a maximum of 20 characters.
  4. Choose the Assign Field Selection to Types of Attendance Quota activity.
  5. Assign the field selections to the relevant Attendance Quota Types in the User Interface Elements group box.
