HRSFI_DATA_R_VARIANT - Specify Allowed Variants for Delta Extraction

In this Customizing activity, you define which extraction variants are to be available for the following reports:

• Sync Employee Data with SuccessFactors (with Delta and Inactive Logic) (RH_SFI_SYNCHRONIZE_EMPL_DATA)

• Sync Employee Data with SuccessFactors in Pre-Hire Period (RH_SFI_PREHIRE_EMPL_DATA)

You use the variants to distribute the data extraction to suitable areas and to perform it in parallel. For example, you can create one variant for all German employees and another one for all American employees. You can also create a variant for each organizational unit.

You have created the variants of your choice from the reports. Once the variants have been created, they are available in this Customizing activity in the input help for the field Variant Name.

Caution

Note the following factors when you create and schedule the variants:

• Avoid overlapping in the employee selection between the variants.

• Always perform the variants with the same frequency and in the same sequence.

Otherwise data inconsistencies may occur. For example, if an employee is contained in the selection area of two variants with different data retrieval methods, it is unclear which status is correct and is to be extracted and transferred to SuccessFactors BizX.

An exception is the transition of an employee from the selection area of one variant to another (for example, when an employee moves from Germany to the US). This can result in temporary overlapping.

In this Customizing activity, enter all variants that are to be available when the reports RH_SFI_SYNCHRONIZE_EMPL_DATA and RH_SFI_PREHIRE_EMPL_DATA are run. Ensure that you enter the correct scenario type:

• Report RH_SFI_SYNCHRONIZE_EMPL_DATA: Scenario type Employee Data

• Report RH_SFI_PREHIRE_EMPL_DATA: Scenario type Pre-Hire Data

Note

If, when running one of the reports, the user selects a variant that is not entered in this Customizing activity, an error message is displayed for the user.
