HRSFI_MAPPING_VARPAY - Map SuccessFactors HCM Suite Fields and SAP ERP HCM Fields

In this Customizing activity, you map fields from SuccessFactors HCM Suite to the SAP ERP data. To do so, you create field sets. For a given field set, you associate various SuccessFactors variable pay program background object fields and map them to the SAP ERP fields of your choice. In complex cases, you can map fields to Business Add-Ins (BAdIs). These BAdIs derive values that are transferred.

Caution
This assignment of field set with SuccessFactors variable pay background element is not transported to follow-on systems (for example, test system or productive system). You must assign the SuccessFactors objects in each system in which you want to use the field sets.

You have carried out the Customizing activity Import Metadata from SuccessFactors HCM Suite to transfer the objects from SuccessFactors that you want to assign to the field sets.

1. Create the field sets of your choice and assign the SuccessFactors objects to them.
2. If you want to use a BAdI implementation to map the contents of a SuccessFactors field to an SAP ERP field, create the BAdI implementation of your choice through the Customizing activity BAdI: Extraction of Variable Pay Data.

Additional Functions

The function Check Field Set checks whether the selected field set fulfills the following conditions:

• All fields assigned to the field set must be contained in the list of fields generated in the Customizing activity Import Metadata from SuccessFactors HCM Suite.

• The required fields entered automatically by the system must exist and be indicated as Required.

Note
This function does not check whether all assigned infotype fields exist.

You want to extract employee history from SAP ERP HCM to SuccessFactors, so you do the following:

1. In SuccessFactors, you create the variable pay plan based on a given background object.
2. In the Customizing system, you use this Customizing activity to create the field set FS_VP and to define the field mappings of your choice for it. You transport the field set to the follow-on systems.
3. In the test system, you use the Customizing activity Import Metadata from SuccessFactors HCM Suite to transfer all background element metadata from SuccessFactors.
4. In the test system, you use the Customizing activity Assign SuccessFactors HCM Suite Objects to Field Sets to assign the background element to the field set FS_VP.
5. Under Fields and Mapping Modes in this Customizing activity, you select the fields and mapping.
