In this Customizing activity, you specify the details of the SuccessFactors variable pay program that are relevant for integration with SAP ERP HCM. These details are used by the system to import field lists from SuccessFactors; the imported field lists are further used in subsequent mapping activities. The details are also used to provide input help for the parameters that are used in the utility/reports for exporting employee history to SuccessFactors variable pay. Details such as the SuccessFactors template IDs are used to import and activate variable pay data from SuccessFactors.

You have already configured the required background elements and variable pay programs in SuccessFactors.

Maintain the variable pay program and its attributes in this activity.

Be sure to specify the correct background element as used by the variable pay program in SuccessFactors. The background element name always has the following pattern:
Background_

You can get the background section ID from the variable pay configuration from SuccessFactors. This data is subsequently used by the utility/reports to import valid field lists.

The other attributes, such as variable pay program name and start/end dates, are used by the utility/report for exporting employee history to SuccessFactors.

The eligibility rule determines which BAdI implementations are used for the further processing eligibility of an employee. The system executes the BAdI implementation whose filter criteria are set to eligibility rule. This feature enables you to define different eligibility business logic for different variable pay programs. You can also use this feature to reuse the same eligibility business logic for a set of variable pay programs.

The SuccessFactors template ID for the variable pay bonus payout ad hoc report domain is used to import and activate variable pay data from SuccessFactors after the variable pay program is completed. You can find the corresponding template ID for the variable pay program in SuccessFactors as follows:

  1. In Provisioning, select the company instance.
  2. Navigate to Company Settings -> Form Template Administration.

Be sure to turn on the variable pay ad hoc report domain ADHOC_varpay_bonus_payout as follows:

  1. In Provisioning, select the company instance.
  2. Navigate to Company Settings -> Ad Hoc Report Builder.

You want to create a variable pay program for 2014 sales. You set the background element to Background_varPayEmpHistData (the SuccessFactors background section ID is varPayEmpHistData so you append "Background_" to it and insert it into the view). You enter the variable pay program name Variable Pay for Sales Team (2014) and set the start and end dates to 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2014 respectively. You set the eligibility rule to Extended Eligibility.

After the variable pay program has been successfully created and processed in SuccessFactors, the form is completed and ready to import and activate the variable pay result data in SAP ERP HCM. You log on to Provisioning and look for the template ID for the corresponding variable pay program.
