In this optional activity, you define any rounding formula(s) that you wish to specify during the assignment of compensation plan attributes. Wherever specified, rounding formulas serve to override any rounding rule - that is, combination of rounding type, rounding amount, and currency - which has been defined for the compensation plan at hand.

Like other attributes, rounding formulas are assigned to compensation plans in the subsequent Customizing activity:

  1. Execute this activity.
  2. On the subsequent screen, from the application toolbar, choose New Entries.
  3. Enter a four-character identifier and text description for the rounding formula to be created, then choose Save.
    1. Select the row that corresponds to this rounding formula, then double-click, from within the dialog structure, on the entry Rounding Formula Definition.
    2. On the subsequent screen, choose New Entries.
    3. For each currency to which this rounding formula should be applied, perform the following entries:
  • Currency key

  • Rounding Type

  • Rounding Amount

  • Rounding Type for Hourly Amounts

  • Rounding Amount for Hourly Amounts

  1. Repeat step 3c. until every appropriate currency has been defined for this rounding formula.
  2. Save your entries, then return to the previous screen in the dialog structure.
  • Repeat steps 3. through 3e. until all necessary rounding formulas have been defined.
