HR_ECM_00_LT_007 - Define Vesting Rules

In this step, you determine how vesting is handled according to your company policy by defining vesting rules, to which you assign a vesting schedule. Vesting refers to the period between the vesting date and the expiry date, during which employees are allowed to exercise all or a portion of their awards.

Note

Vesting rules are assigned to LTI plans and can be overwritten at the employee level in infotype LTI Grant (0761).

The SAP System is shipped with a set of predefined vesting rules that you can change to meet your company-specific requirements.

Determine the vesting rules that are required in your organization.

1. Click New entries.
2. Enter a 4-character code and a description.
3. Save your entries.
