HR_ECM_00_WF_003 - Review Workflows for Compensation Planning Cycle

During the compensation planning cycle, you can inform relevant managers that they should change (that is, approve or reject) the status of the planning process or submit planning for their employees. Via the following workflows, tasks, and rule - which lend themselves for review during preparation for Compensation Planning - managers can receive notification that an activity awaits their attention.

• Workflows:

• Workflow WS04000025-ECM_CREATE
  (Start of the planning process)

With this workflow, notification can be sent to planning managers when the planning process begins. Each manager will find an entry in the Business Workplace, indicating that a specific compensation review awaits planning. This entry will remain there until such time as the manager submits planning.

This workflow includes tasks TS04000013 and TS04000017.

This workflow also includes a wait step Wait for Event SUBMITTED - which awaits the Event CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT->SUBMITTED - where the organizational unit is equal to the organizational unit that was passed to the Event of the workflow.

• Workflow WS04000022-ECM_SUBMIT
  (Submitting planning)

With this workflow, notification can be sent to approval managers, on behalf of planning managers, to indicate that the latter managers have submitted their planning. Each manager will find an entry in the Business Workplace, indicating that a specific compensation review awaits approval. This entry will remain there until such time as the approval manager rejects or approves that review.

This workflow includes tasks TS04000013 and TS04000014.

This workflow also includes two wait steps:

... the wait step Waiting for APPROVED Event - which awaits the Event CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT->APPROVED - where the organizational unit is equal to the organizational unit that was passed to the Event of the workflow.

... the wait step Waiting for REJECT Event - which awaits the Event CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT->REJECTED - where the organizational unit is equal to the organizational unit that was passed to the Event of the workflow.

• Workflow WS04000023-ECM_APPROVE
  (Approving the planning)

With this workflow, notification can be sent to planning managers to indicate that their planning has been approved. Each manager will find an entry in the Business Workplace, indicating that their planning has been approved.

This workflow includes task TS04000015.

• Workflow WS04000024-ECM_REJECT
  (Rejecting the planning)

With this workflow, notification can be sent to planning managers to indicate that their planning has been rejected. Each manager will find an entry in the Business Workplace, indicating that their planning has been rejected. This entry will remain there until such time as the planning manager re-submits the review.

This workflow includes tasks TS04000013 and TS04000016.

This workflow also includes a wait step Wait for Event SUBMITTED - which awaits the Event CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT->SUBMITTED - where the organizational unit is equal to the organizational unit that was passed to the Event of the workflow.

• Workflow WS77900114-ECM_SUBM_SIN

(Submitting Single Employee Planning)

Planning managers can use this workflow to notify approving managers that the planning managers have submitted their planning for a single employee. Each manager can find an entry in the Business Workplace indicating that a specific planning is awaiting approval. This entry remains there until the approving manager rejects or approves that planning.

This workflow includes tasks TS77900106 and TS04000013.

This workflow also includes two wait steps:

Waiting for APPROVED Event,

Awaits the event CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT->APPROVED_SINGLE_EMPLOYEE, where the personnel number is the same as the personnel number that was transferred to the workflow event.

Waiting for REJECT Event,

Awaits the event CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT->REJECTED_SINGLE_EMPLOYEE, where the personnel number is the same as the personnel number transferred to the workflow event.

• Workflow WS77900111-ECM_APPR_SIN

(Approving a Single Employee Planning )

With this workflow, planning managers are notified that their single employee planning has been approved. Each manager sees an entry in the Business Workplace indicating that their planning has been approved.

This workflow includes task TS77900104.

• Workflow WS77900115-ECM_REJE_SIN

(Rejecting the Single Employee Planning)

With this workflow, planning managers are notified that their single employee planning has been rejected. Each manager sees an entry in the Business Workplace indicating that their planning has been rejected. This entry remains until the planning manager resubmits the planning.

This workflow includes tasks TS04000013 and TS77900105.

This workflow also includes a wait step called Wait for Event SUBMITTED, which awaits event CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT -> SUBMITTED_SINGLE_EMPLOYEE, where the personnel number is the same as the personnel number transferred to the workflow event.

• Tasks:

• Task TS04000013

This task creates an instance of CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT that is used for the WAIT Events.

• Task TS04000017

This task creates a workitem for the planning. This workitem will be completed when planning managers submit their planning.

• Task TS04000014

This task creates a workitem for the approval manager. This workitem will be completed when approval managers approve or reject the planning.

• Task TS04000015

This task creates a workitem for the planning manager. This workitem will be completed when planning managers select their workitem.

• Task TS04000016

This task creates a workitem for the planning manager. This workitem will be completed when planning managers submit their planning.

• Task TS77900106

This task creates a work item for the approving manager in the single employee process. This work item is completed when approving managers approve or reject the single employee planning.

• Task TS77900105

This task creates a work item for the planning manager. This work item is completed when planning managers submit their single employee planning.

• Task TS7790014

This task creates a work item for the planning manager (for the single employee planning process). This work item is completed when planning managers select their work item.

• Rule:

The delivered rule is an example that can be used to determine the processor in business workflows for the planning process. If no processor is found during rule resolution, the workflow obtains the status ERROR and is terminated.

• Rule 04000003

Via function module HR_ECM_NOTIFICATION_AGENT, this rule determines the agent. This function module defines as agents those users that are located in variable AGENTS of container AC_CONTAINER.
