SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you set up the connection between the SAP back-end system, in which you are currently working, and the SAP J2EE Engine for the Collaboration Room for SAP NetWeaver.

You have already created an entry in the RFC Engine Service using the Visual Administrator of the SAP J2EE Engine.

You are in display and maintenance mode for the RFC destination.

  1. Choose Create.
  2. Enter the RFC destination, select T as the connection type for starting an external program via TCP/IP, and enter a descriptive text.
  3. Under Technical Settings, flag the activation type Registered Server Program.
  4. Under Registered Server Program, as the program ID enter the name of the RFC destination of the RFC Engine Service of the J2EE Engine.
  5. Enter the name of the SAP Gateway where relevant.
  6. Test the connection.

For detailed information, see the SAP Library under Basis Services / Communication Interfaces (BC-SRV) -> Remote Communications (BC-SRV-RC) -> RFC Programming in ABAP.
