In this Customizing activity, you can integrate the SAP Jam collaboration platform that is available in the Social Media ABAP Integration Library (SAIL). With this integration, you can use collaborative functions (such as SAP Jam sessions) in the Learning Solution (LSO) application.

Perform the following steps to integrate SAP Jam:

  • Activate SAP Jam integration
Make the following settings:
  • To activate the integration, enter X in the LSJAM ACTIN field.

An application context provides the semantic context for the collaboration with an external service provider. This context is determined for the SAP application that can collaborate.
  • Enter SAIL in the LSJAM APCON field. This is the default value for Learning Solution.

  • Enter the value for the LSJAM APPID field.

An application ID is the unique identifier of an application that uses the services of a collaboration platform.
  • Enter the value for the LSJAM PLATY field.

This identifier enables the Social Media ABAP Integration Library to distinguish between different target platforms for a specific platform type (such as SAP Jam).
Note:: For more information about values in the LSJAM APPID and LSJAM PLATY fields, see the configuration guide in SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/instguides → SAP NetWeaver → SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) or 7.3 or 7.4 → Operations → Social Media Integration → Connecting SAP Jam with SAP ABAP Systems or contact your SAP Jam administrator.
  • Enter the value for the LSJAM COREP field. This field is optional.

Enter the user name in this field to add the person responsible for a course type as an administrator. The settings in relationship A090 overwrites the Customizing option. For example, if you have maintained a user A in Customizing and a user B using A090, the user B has to be invited to the group.
  • Enter the value for the LSJAM REVOK field. This field is optional.

It is set to X only if you want to revoke access for learners from the SAP Jam group that are maintained at the course-type level.
  • Schedule the SAP Jam integration report
To synchronize activities between Learning Solution and SAP Jam, schedule the report RH_SOCIAL_MANAGER_LSO. This report synchronizes activities such as the creation of a course or the booking of participants onto a course in LSO with the corresponding activity in SAP Jam (for example, the creation of a SAP Jam session or an invitation to participants for this session).
Define the frequency runs of the report in days, hours, and minutes, and execute the scheduler.
  • Maintain label for SAP Jam group link
Define the text for the pushbutton in the Learning Portal that displays the SAP Jam Group information for a course. Make a field entry with the required text for this pushbutton. The default value is SAP Jam Group.

Note: It is recommended that the user running the report has the administrator authorization for all SAP Jam Group IDs that are linked to the course types so that the user can see the status in the report correctly.
