BAL Application Log Documentation BAL Application Log DocumentationThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this step, you set up the search function that is used to find objects in Training Management and the Personnel Management components (Organizational Management, Personnel Administration etc.).
There are three settings you can make:
- Under GENER, you can specify whether a confirmation prompt is displayed when a search of a whole plan version is initiated. The value 1 activates this prompt.
-
Under LMODE, you can specify whether a search is carried out in the logon language only
(0), or language-independent (1) in all languages. If you enter 1
for all languages, the search is carried out first in the logon language, and follows the order of languages defined in table T778L (Languages Supported).
If you enter 2 or *, the system always searches for objects in all languages. - Under SMODE, you can specify whether the possible entries help offers all search options such as the search function, the structure search and the standard matchcode (value 1), or only the option that the system stored from the first use of the function per user and per object type (value 0).
- The switch GENER contains the default value 0. This means that no confirmation prompt is displayed.
- The switch LMODE contains the default value 1.
- The switch SMODE contains the default value 1.
You should set both the GENER switch and the SMODE switch at 1 if you want to prevent searches being carried out for all objects.
