SAP E-Book

This action is used to define the content repositories and thus the storage systems in which the documents or objects should be stored.

You can choose simple or full administration. The number of fields shown depends on your choice.

The storage systems must be connected to the SAP ArchiveLink interface 4.5 or to the HTTP Content Server interface.

You should only maintain this table if a storage system is integrated.

  1. Perform the action.
An overview of all the existing content repositories is displayed.
You can now go to the detail display or change existing entries.
  1. To define the specifications for a new content repository, choose Create in change mode.
  2. Enter the name of the content repository in the Content Rep. field.
The name of the content repository can be up to 30 characters long in the context of the SAP Knowledge Provider.
  1. Enter a descriptive text for your content repository in the Description field.
  2. Enter one of the following options in the Storage type field:
  • HTTP content server

You can send the certificate of the SAP System for storage type HTTP to an HTTP content server by clicking the Send certificate icon. You need to send certificates in order to be able to work with signed URLs. Once the certificate has been sent to the content server, it normally has to be activated on the content server before you can work with the content server and store documents.
  • R/3 database

  • Structure repository

  • RFC

Storage type FTP only applies to SAP ArchiveLink.
You can send information of the SAP system to RFC storage systems by clicking the Send RFC info icon.
The following input fields and input helps depend on the storage type and are defaulted by the system where possible.
  1. Complete your entries.
  2. Save your entries.

The detail view contains the following information for entries that already exist:

  • Date and time of creation
  • User name of person who created
  • Name of person who created
  • Date and time of change
  • User name of person making the change
  • Name of person making the change

A connection test is performed for storage types HTTP and FTP.

Status information is output for storage type HTTP.

You can navigate in the maintenance screens of related transactions, e.g. in the Content Server Administration, by double-clicking or from the menu.

You can find more information about the content repositories in the SAP Library under Basis - Basis Services - SAP Knowledge Provider - Content Management Service - Concepts.
