In this IMG activity, you maintain the notification abbreviations for Training Management correspondence, and assign them recipient groups and dynpros (data screens) for the required input.

Notification abbreviations stand for the various items of correspondence required for activities, for example, confirmation of booking or course cancellation.

When you assign recipient groups and screen number, you are determining the recipients of the document. You also determine what screen is used for entering data and selecting recipients (e.g. booked course, participant type, participant ID).

The standard system contains default notification abbreviations for all of the most common activities in Training Management.

In the standard system, recipient groups and screen numbers are already assigned to notification abbreviations.

  1. Check whether the standard system contains all of the notification abbreviations you require for your transactions and activities in Training Management.
  2. Add your own notification abbreviations where necessary.
  3. Assign a suitable selection screen and recipient group to your notification abbreviations.

In addition, for you own notification abbreviations you must perform the activity assignment step under Assign Notification Abbreviations and Activities.
