XSL (Extensible Stylesheet Language) is a programming language used to convert XML (Extensible Markup Language) documents to any other XML format (XSL transformation).

When you import an external course, you can convert external metadata that has an XML format (such as LOM or Dublin Score Schema) using XSL Transformation to the XML format used in the Learning Solution so that the metadata can be transferred to the LSO system.

In this IMG activity, you enter the address where your centrally stored XSLT files can be accessed.

This can be a directory or a network path in the following format:

\\servername\filename\

When you change your XSLT files, the corresponding files in the Authoring Environment can be synchronized accordingly. This is why the network or directory address is required. When the XSLT files stored here have been synchronized in the Authoring Environment, they can be used when external courses are imported.

Enter the address where your XSLT files are stored.
