In this Customizing activity, you specify the values for the Reason for Entry to Pension field that are used for the retirement payment. The Retirement Payment selection list is set as a required field for the predefined specifications.

If the (Reason for Entry into Pension) is available when someone enters retirement, the Retirement Payment field must be filled.

In sample Customizing, specifications 14 Retirement Payment and 15 ER Reduction in Earning Capacity are used for retirement payments. If you would like to create customer-specific reasons for entry into pension for the retirement pension, start the Customizing activity under Payroll: Germany -> Industries -> Public Sector -> Payroll for Pension Recipients -> Information on Pension Payments -> Maintain Legal Basis and Pension Reasons and choose Maintain Reasons for Start of Pension.

1. Start the Customizing activity and choose New Entries.
2. Select the relevant control indicator specification for retirement pensions (sample Customizing: specification 14 Retirement Pension and 15 AG Reduction in Earning Capacity).
3. Choose Save.
