In this IMG activity, you use the feature Reimbursements (PAdm): Determination of Reimbursement Reasons (DOVE3) to define which reasons for reimbursement are to be used for the selected legal basis.

A legal basis can have various reasons for reimbursement, each of which is valuated with a different reimbursement percentage. When you select a legal basis, the system permanently defines the reasons for reimbursement.

First, use the previous two IMG activities to maintain the legal bases and the reasons for reimbursement that you require.

The assignments for the standard legal bases are available in the standard SAP system.

Use the feature DOVE3 to specify which reasons for reimbursement you want to define for each legal basis. The sequence of the reasons for reimbursement also determines which calculation rule is to be used for each reason for reimbursement.

The return value of the feature can contain up to three reasons for reimbursement, separated by a "/".

Example: 05/06/

This example shows that the two reasons for reimbursement, 05 and 06, are defined in the legal basis. In addition, the sequence tells us that reason 05 is calculated with calculation rule 1 while reason 06 is calculated with calculation rule 2.
The calculation rules are defined in the system and cannot be changed. Calculation rule 3 is not used at present.
Calculation rules 1 and 2 are as follows:
  • 1: Ratio of the reimbursement amount to the current pension payments

  • 2: Ratio of the employment years at the reimbursing public sector employer to the total employment years
