In this IMG activity, you create check schemas and check methods, and assign the check methods to the check schemas.

Check Methods

Dangerous goods checks are implemented as user exits in the form of function modules. You assign these function modules to the check methods.

The following function modules are provided in the standard SAP system:

  • HSM301_CHECK_LGK - Check Module for Permissibility of Storage Class
Checks whether the material can be put away according to the storage class of the hazardous substance.
  • HSM301_CHECK_WGK - Check Module for Permissibility of WPC
Checks whether the material can be put away according to its water pollution class.
  • HSM301_CHECK_LGKMX - Check Module for Mixed Storage of Storage Classes (Matrix)
Determines the permissibility of a hazardous substance putaway according to the segregation rules and regulations defined for the storage class in Customizing.
  • HSM301_CHECK_TEMPLATE
Copy Template for Own Check Methods
  1. Define function modules as hazardous substance check methods and enter descriptions in the desired languages.
  2. Assign only function modules for which the interface matches that of the function module HSM301_CHECK_TEMPLATE.

Check Schemas

You group hazardous substance check methods into a hazardous substance check schema and define the order in which the check methods are processed.

Example settings are provided in the standard SAP system.

  1. Create a new check schema and enter descriptions in the desired languages.
  2. Select the corresponding hazardous substance check schema.
  3. Choose Check Schema/Method Assignment
  4. Enter a sequence number for the hazardous substance check.
