In this Customizing activity, you can check or change the data source of your specified matching method. In each operation, the system checks if the assigned data source contains the following fields:

  • All the method-level filter fields
  • All fields used in matching expressions of the method
  • All the amount and currency fields used in tolerance settings of the associated reconciliation case
  • All the reconciliation case-level filter fields.

In addition, when you try to change the assigned data source to a different one, the system checks if the two data sources have the same leading unit and partner unit.

You have assigned data sources to the matching method in the Define Matching Methods app on the SAP Fiori launchpad.

To check consistency of a data source, that is whether it's complete and compliant with the matching method setup, take the following steps:

  1. Select the Check consistencyoption.
  2. Choose the relevant matching method from the drop-down list.
  3. Select the data source that you want to check for the method.
  4. Choose Execute. You will get a list of field check results and an overall message showing whether the data source passed or failed the check.

To change the assigned data source to a different one, take the following steps:

  1. Select the Change data source assignmentoption.
  2. Choose the relevant matching method from the drop-down list.
  3. From the Change from Data Source list, select the data source you want to change for the method.
  4. The To list shows all available data sources you have configured. Select the data source to which you want to change.
  5. Select Test Runif you want to run the consistency check for the new data source first.
  6. Choose Execute. You will get a list of field check results and an overall message showing whether the new data source passed or failed the check.
Note: Changing to the new data source is only possible if it passes the check without any errors. For example, the new data source may lack some fields that exist in the matching method filters, matching rules, and the associated reconciliation case. To fix the errors, you need either to adjust the data source by using the transaction code ICADS, or adjust the method or reconciliation case by using the Define Matching Methodsor Define Reconciliation Casesapp.
Warning messages don't prevent you from changing the data source.
  1. Deselect Test Runand choose Execute. Data source is changed to the new one for your specified method.
Note: Any existing matching documents or assignments are not affected.
