Investigative Case Management (ICM) uses the WebClient UI Framework in the SAP Fiori Launchpad (FLP) Integration mode. We recommend checking the default Fiori frontend criminal investigator business role (SAP_BR_INVESTIGATOR) delivered and copying it as necessary. This role contains preconfigured SAP Fiori Tile Catalogs and Groups. ICM Web UI applications will be accessible using Apps available in the FLP.

Note

ICM applications will be embedded in a FLP shell instead of the classical WebClient UI Framework L-shape. Hence, there are no backend WebClient UI business roles or navigation bar profiles delivered or loaded in FLP.

A default Fiori Launchpad Catalog (SAP_CRM_BC_INVESTIGATOR) is delivered with pre-configured function profiles and target Ids. This customization plays a key role in generating backend PFCG role. For more information, see Customizing for Serviceunder UI Framework-> Technical Role Definition:

Even though it is technically possible to work with this default criminal investigator business role, we recommend copying this role to create customer-specific business roles.

If you assign the PARAMETERSfunction profile to a launchpad catalog, do not set the CRM_CM_COMMIT parameter to X. This parameter enables you to save or cancel attachment-related changes to a business object using the corresponding Saveor Cancelapplication function. This is not supported for Investigative Case Management (ICM). For more information, see Customizing for Serviceunder UI Framework-> Technical Role Definition:

You have created a backend PFCG role and generated the required authorization data.

Frontend PFCG role contains the catalog with target IDs to launch WCF Apps from Fiori Launchpad. A corresponding backend authorization role is needed with catalogs from frontend server.

Using the report WCFD_UI_FLP_BR_PREPARE for the selected PFCG role generates a text file. This file can be imported to the PFCG role and authorization data is generated.

Adjusting the Technical Role Definition

  • SAP delivers ICM-related entries in a work area component repository, for example:

Note: You should not change these component repository entries. Modify them only in exceptional cases.

Adjusting the Business Role Definition

If you want to work with your own set of frontend roles, choose Service-> UI Framework-> Business Roles-> Define Business Role.

  1. Copy the SAP_BR_INVESTIGATOR business role, for example, to the following customer-specific business roles:
  • Detective

Example: The criminal investigator uses the system on a daily basis and needs a wide range of functions but does not have administrator rights. The criminal investigator is not allowed to use the Create options of the ICM Administrationgroup, since this authorization is assigned to a Supervisor.
  • Quality Manager (for example: Z_QMANAGER)

Example: This is an administrator, who is in charge of data quality. Typical tasks are the checking of duplicates (persons, objects, locations), checking of expunge dates and postponing them if necessary, clarifying and removing superfluous data or data inconsistencies.
  • Supervisor(for example: Z_SUPERVISOR)

Example: As the manager of the criminal investigator, the supervisor is allowed to see more entities in the system, especially in the My Worklistapp. Unlike "standard" users, under Cases and Leadssupervisors also have authorization to change the assignment block Staff and Units. This means that they can indirectly determine authorizations (for example, to change cases) for the associated users. ,,
  1. Adjust the copied SAP Fiori Tile Catalogs and Groups as required.
